Removing Back Door Panel 2010 Corolla

You need to transfer those clips back onto the panel before you connect the door back.

Gently pull up on the black plastic retaining tab at the top of the door opener and lock mechanism to release it. Disconnect the wiring harness. Pry up the corner panel on the inside side of the side mirror. Front door panel removed.

Pull up the armrest panel and remove the exposed phillips screws. Unclip the door latch rod. This may require a bit of jiggling to loosen the panel. Remove the triangular panel at the top inside corner of the door panel.

Remove and set aside the door handle. Once loose remove the panel from the door shell when all the clips are loose lift up on the panel to release the lip at the top of the door. Saru something stronger. Pry up the switch panel.

With your screwdrivers pry up the top of the door pull and remove the two phillips screws. Pull the door opener handle and lock unlock mechanism out of the door panel. Use a putty knife to unpin the door panel from the door. Some of the clips on the panel may come off and stay on the clips on the door.

Do so gently and don t damage the panel. Lift the plastic door panel up and off the metal door frame. Angle the door panel towards yourself and support the bottom of the panel with your thighs. Pry up the switch panel and unplug it.

Insert your trim removal tool into the edge of the door panel and work it around the entire edge to disengage its clips.
